Patrick Duffy

President

Patrick is committed to seeing BiTA produce valuable commercial outcomes for its members through the development and publication of open-source and royalty free data standards. Patrick deeply believes that the world is a supply chain, and that data standards run civilizations. He joins the BiTA team from the trade publication American Shipper and its sister data company, ComPair Data, where he was Research Director and Senior Consultant, respectively.

George Abernathy

President, FreightWaves

George Abernathy has responsibility for all revenue and commercial efforts at FreightWaves, including SaaS, Trucking Freight Futures and membership engagements. He is the former President of Transplace, a leading provider of non-asset based third-party logistics and truck brokerage services. He also held the COO role and was a key contributor in the company’s sale to Greenbriar Equity Partners in 2013. George has more than 30 years of supply chain and transportation industry leadership experience with carrier, broker and technology companies. Previously, he held senior management positions at J.B. Hunt, Logistics.com, Sabre, Transflo and North American Van Lines.

David Bradford

EVP, FreightWaves

David Bradford oversees commercial activities and product execution of the FreightWaves Community (FreightWaves.com, events and BiTA membership). BiTA is developing education, content and engagement around technology applications and standards for the freight industry. David has been active in trucking industry sales and management for two decades. He previously held positions at U.S. Xpress, TransCard, Covenant Transport and Lipsey Logistics.

Dale Stewart

Director of Community

Stewart is responsible for new member engagement and conducting interviews with new applicants to see if they are a good fit for BiTA. He ensures that new members needs are being met by the membership engagement team to ensure all members get value out of their membership.

Will Sehestedt

VP of Association & University Development

In this role, he builds partnerships with industry groups in every mode of transportation and institutions that are educating the next generation of supply chain leaders. Prior to FreightWaves he was Vice President of Government Affairs at the Transportation Intermediaries Association, the leading trade group representing third party logistics companies. There, he lobbied Congress and Federal agencies, and provided staff support to committees focused on technology, international freight, and 3PL operations. He also represented TIA and its membership on advisory bodies at FIATA, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations. Will served for nine years as staff for U.S. Senator Max Baucus of Montana before joining TIA and graduated from Georgetown University in 2005.
